organisation & competences
training and collaboration
The characteristics that distinguish our work can be summarized as follows:
- Specific project culture, synthesis of innovation and local roots;
- Search for design quality, definition of detail and optimal solutions for technical suitability, reliability, innovation, sustainability, cost-effectiveness and buildability;
- Permanent training and progressive acquisition of new skills, through individual specializations for continuous improvement or results,
- Spirit of collaboration and sense of personal responsibility,
- Permanent training and progressive acquisition of new skills, through individual specializations, for continuous improvement of results,
- Spirit of collaboration and sense of personal responsibility
- Planning and scheduling of design activities and on site activities,
- Precise identification and constant attention to the needs of the client through continuous discussion: from the brief, to the progressive and constant verification of results,
- Multidisciplinarity and integration between the design disciplines, with coordination and unitary organization of the design sectors, to operate in the design and construction management fields,
- Knowledge of urban planning tools and their implementation processes,
- Search for an in-depth knowledge of the techniques and standards, in their constant evolution, which govern the building process.
The experience gained has made it possible to develop a tested and carefully trained design group, which represents a benefit to the specific commissions.
Projects are developed in an integrated form with other professionals and companies in the fields of structural, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical engineering, fire prevention, environmental, landscape, archaeological, survey and cadastral design, coordinating all the design services in the areas of competence.
The studio has the necessary hardware to develop its activities and an endowment of software for design, rendering, bill of quantities computation and temporal and technical organization.
operation
The studio develops the projects and the executive phases of the works by organising a working team for each job.
Work control is conducted through the planning of activities, which are constantly monitored.
In the initial phase, the brief is defined with the client to identify specific needs of the topic. During the works, intermediate reviews are carried out to control the development of the project, according to brief and building standards. Before the submission, a final check is carried out to verify that the external professional designs all come together with one another, the brief and that the minimum standards are satisfied making sure the project is completed in the best possible way and that all necessary documentation is supplied.
the project
The design process takes place:
- Establishing the work team with a project manager,
- Correctly identifying the client’s needs,
- Correctly identifying the circumstances that may affect the works (pre-work status),
- Fully defining the regulatory aspects,
- Developing the project in a coordinated way,
- Progressively verifying the results.
The process is repetitive and requires constant liaising with the client to balance the choices to the needs and priorities; this is interdisciplinary and requires a methodical procedure to coordinate the contribution of all the different disciplines.
Current conditions also demand a careful assessment of sustainability requirements, in particular: insulation and energy saving, adoption of renewable energies, choice of materials, water saving, limitation of soil consumption, carbon emissions, sound insulation, etc.
execution
In the execution, we are aware of the need to monitor the progress of the site works. This requires, for example, that are defined:
- Checks on the initial state of the places to avoid subsequent unnoticed critical issues,
- Criteria and programs for site visits,
- Checks and tests are carried out on the supplies and on the carried out works,
- Orderly and progressive collection of the materials certification to avoid delays by preventing any disputes,
- Verification of time schedules and management of bills of quantity and accounting,
- Management of contractual aspects,
- Attention to the delicate final stage of verification, testing, as built drawings and handover.
All of this, to promote a linear and rational management of the works, ensure compliance of the execution with the design, respect deadlines and prevent, as much as possible, any disputes by identifying in time the necessary choices to deal with any unforeseen event.
